| Q: Will my account be available immediately after I apply? | A: Most accounts are opened immediately after the application is completed. However, some applications may require additional internal review before the account can be opened and made available for use. |
| Q: What documents do I need? | A: You will need a valid, state-issued photo ID and your Social Security number (SSN). |
| Q: How do I fund the account? | A: You can fund your account through an ACH transfer from another financial institution. The initial deposit must be a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $250. |
| Q: When will I get my debit card? | A: Once your account has been opened and approved, you can visit any of First Basin Credit Union’s seven convenient branch locations to request a debit card, if desired. |
| Q: Can I open an account if I’m not near a branch? |
A: Yes! You can open an account online as long as you reside in one of the 17 West Texas counties within First Basin Credit Union’s field of membership. Andrews, Brewster, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Jeff Davis, Lubbock, Martin, Midland, Pecos, Presidio, Reeves, Upton, Ward, and Winkler County. |
